Tie Rod

A tie-rod cylinder uses the threaded steel rods to hold two end caps to the ends of the cylinder barrel. A strong advantage of the tie rod design is that it can be easily disassembled & examined for repair.

This type of cylinders provides long life and reliable operation attributed to the use of high quality materials plus many features included in this design. A Safety Factor of 2.5 or better is built into cylinder. The Safety Factor is a function of The critical buckling load determined basically by the length of the cylinder and cylinder extensions Forces. Every tie rod cylinder is individually tested before leaving our plant to assure proper and leak free operation.
